The Workers Defense Guard is a militant working class defense organization based in Burlington, VT. We are Union members, workers and community members. Our goals are to train, educate, and mobilize working class communities and act as a revolutionary organization in the defense of oppressed and working people from the forces of reaction and organized hate. We act in the interest of the working class, responding to attacks and threats made against workers, organized labor, and the community. We will seek to ensure the personal security of those individuals threatened by forces of reaction. We were formed in response to threats levied against workers of color by the  Ku Klux Klan and have successfully prevented a recurrence of those threats by continuing to organize workers and oppressed people to join forces with us under our banner as we educate, organize, and mobilize the community to engage in a united front.
